Tow Vehicles

I own two vehicles, a 2005 Mustang and a 1996 Ford F-150. The F-150 will do the first honors in towing my new teardrop, but the Mustang will be getting a modification to have a hitch installed to tow the teardrop.

I will be trying to keep the overall weight of the teardrop down to about 1000 pounds total, which the Mustang should be able to handle without much trouble. The nice part of traveling in the Mustang is the much better gas mileage that it has over and above what the truck can do.

That said, having a 4WD truck has advantages for real back-woods treks and, combined with a teardrop to sleep and cook in, will be an unbeatable combination.

For the time being, the harness, trailer lights and the new hitch ball have all been procured and I'm in the process of assembling that all to work with the F-150. I'll take more photos of the progress as time goes on...
